Introduction
Transforming employee performance with Vimigo
Vimigo is a platform that helps management teams improve employee performance through gamification.
By adding game-like elements, it motivates employees to align their work with company goals across sales, projects and overall performance management.
The problem
Making management simpler and engagement stronger
We were asked to improve Vimigo's existing UI/UX, to make management easier while keeping employees motivated. This meant:
- Streamlining the interface, so managers can find their way and employees stay engaged.
- Designing new features with detailed rules that stay clear and easy to use across the management and mobile apps.
Our approach
Balancing fun and function in employee engagement
Playful design and motivating visuals
To engage employees, we added fun visuals such as illustrations and extra badges, for a more motivating work experience.
Encouraging words support a positive mindset, while progress and payroll tracking became engaging through a playful, intuitive interface.
Easier management with templates and custom charts
For managers, we added ready-to-use templates that can be set up on a phone. Custom charts give several views of the data, so the app suits different needs.
We also streamlined onboarding, so new users can get set up quickly.
Smart visual cues for a clear experience
We used colour-coded pop-ups for quick recognition: blue for everyday actions, and red for actions that cannot be undone, such as deleting.
Simpler icons make screens easier to scan, and views such as tables and Gantt charts suit different preferences.
The result
Simpler management and stronger engagement
Our design led to a streamlined interface with an intuitive dashboard and the vimiBoss app, so managers can find their way with ease.
Employee engagement grew with a more interactive employee app. Even with detailed rules, the new features stay clear and easy to use on both the management and mobile apps.
